Kota Kinabalu (commonly known as KK) is the capital of Malaysia’s Sabah state on the third largest island in the world, Borneo. It is a coastal city surrounded by rainforest. KK has some of the best beaches and diving spots in the world and is home to vast amounts of unique and endangered wildlife. Getting around is very easy and English is used in almost all restaurants, bars and shops. In the shadow of KK stands the beautiful Mont Kinabalu which is a 2 day climb for the adventurous hiker. There are also many jungle treks to go on, tribes and longhouses to visit and the mighty Kinabatangan river to explore. This is truly a magical place to live and work.
