Job Description

About the School

The college was founded 1981 and has since grown into one of the best private sixth form colleges in London for A levels and GCSEs. Students consistently achieve outstanding A level exam results, 56% A*A (2021-2022), helping the school to remain in the top two of similar private high schools in London for many years. Results are in the top 5% of students with similar prior achievements. More than half of graduates go on to study at Russell Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

The College offers students a university-style learning environment where relations between staff and students are grown-up and informal, promoting independence, confidence and personal growth. The tone is unpretentious and friendly so everyone has space to grow and develop, including staff.

Teachers work closely with each student to carve out a unique education programme that best suits their needs and ambitions, offering them the flexibility, choice and comprehensive support and guidance necessary to reach their goals. Students can choose from a wide selection of A level subjects and course lengths and receive tailored and expert guidance on applying to university.

The college embraces a friendly, informal but disciplined, adult approach to education. Students take lessons in small groups where they are encouraged to explore and test their ideas with the teacher and other students, becoming more independent thinkers. The small class sizes enable our teachers to offer greater individual attention, set more homework and provide feedback.

Class sizes are restricted to fewer than 10, so students receive a very high level of individual attention. In addition, they are offered extensive support outside of the classroom through weekly personal tutor sessions, subject-specific clinics, support classes and peer group mentoring. They work closely with their teachers, personal tutors and the Director of Studies to monitor and discuss their academic performance and progress throughout their time at the college.

The college is superbly located on the borders of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, in the heart of London. A fantastic selection of world-class venues and attractions are within walking distance from the college including the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Albert Hall. Major libraries, art galleries and theatres are also within easy reach of the college as well as shopping in Kensington and Knightsbridge.

Students from all over the world are welcomed, making it an exciting and diverse place to learn.

Inta Education would like to hear from candidates with proven commitment to academic excellence, who will appreciate the opportunities the College offers to communicate, inspire and attain the highest standards. No formal teaching qualification required although the role demands significant teaching experience.
