What a year it’s been in the world of international education and recruitment!

Please have a read below for details of our plans for the next academic year as well as a brief round up of our very busy year!

2020/21 Academic Year Recruitment

With the summer holidays still in full swing for most it might be hard to believe that we are already gearing up for recruitment for the 2020/21 academic year! As most international schools have already gone back to school, they will soon have an idea of their recruitment needs for leadership, teaching and specialist roles.

We are seeing increased competition for roles across China so early applications are certainly advisable. Schools also begin their recruitment process early so that you have plenty of time to gather paperwork and documentation to make the visa process smooth and stress free. Schools also like to begin their nurturing process, giving you the opportunity to meet and chat with current members of staff and share plenty of helpful tips and advice on how to prepare yourself for living and working in your new host city.

As always, it really does help to do your research on the different types of schools operating in China and the cities in which they are located in- all of which can only be beneficial during the application and interview process. If you are considering a move to China, please do get in touch as we are always happy to chat about our own personal experiences of living and working in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai and advise on the best opportunities for you.

This coming November, we will be spending the month in China catching up with those teachers who arrived in August as well as visiting our client schools to better understand how they plan to expand and develop over the coming months. We will also be participating in a large conference in Guangzhou to network with both international and bilingual schools and attend roundtable discussions to learn more about current hiring trends, so we are able to better advise our teachers.

Expanding our reach…

As a small company, we have big ambitions. Through our network of trusted connections, we have been fortunate to be able to expand the reach of our opportunities to Central America. We will be fully launching our INTA Americas branch in late September with recruitment beginning at a similar time to that of China. We are very excited about this development and look forward to consolidating our presence in the Americas region.

At INTA China we love to personalise the process as much as possible and share our own journeys with the teachers we recruit. We love nothing more than meeting up with our teachers when possible for a drink, a chat and of course some Chinese food! We hope to be able to do the same this year with many more teachers as well as catch up with everyone in China and revisit our favourite haunts.

Finally, we would like to wish all our teachers arriving in China this month the very best of luck with the next step in their career- we can’t wait to see your updates and hope to see as many of you as possible when we come out in November!
